OMG not another blog! save me from more blogs!
How can anyone manage more than one blog?
I have a blog on wordpress and a blogger blog and a blog in sldrama.com if that's still around and I have a Windows Live blog .
I have a geocities web page and one at fateback and google page. I've got wikis and notes and documents and spreadsheets on zoho and I've got pages on Google Docs and Spreadsheets.
I've got a publicly editable database on DabbleDB.
and umm, a windows live spaces space and I've got an Office Live Basic web page. I've got more crap on the internet that I can't even remember.
I have to use Google Desktop search to search my emai and stuff in old browser caches and stuff like that to find my old web sites.
In this ning thingie here one is apparently supposed to make bunches of pages in groups started by other people that you've joined.
What is the sense or purpose of all this? What good can I make of all this opportunity to write stuff?
Sigh, I previewed this, and when I clicked the back button to edit it some more, html code appeared in it, making it hard to read and write in. And the editor page doesn't do line breaks properly. I tried to use a ning badge on my wordpress.com blog and it doesn't work, ning has to make a fancy badge that uses the embed html tag and wordpress.com doesn't like the embed tag. There's a line on my ning page that says "Second Life Avatar". I can't figure out where to change that at. Ning is kinda like, if you took the pieces of code that would make a sensible application that you could figure out the purpose of and how to use it, and stuck them on building blocks, and stuck the blocks in a barrel, and shook the barrel up, and maybe stuck the barrel on some kind of paint shaker machine, and when you wanted to do something in or with ning, instead of being able to look in you toolkit and find the tool you wanted to accomplish your purpose, you looked in the shaking barrel and see pieces of hammers and screwdrivers and wrenches and while you could tell they were probably pieces of tools you couldn't quite figure out how to put the tools together to do anything sensible with, so instead of doing anything sensible, you just take some pieces out and fiddle with them a bit. The when you want to actually make a webpage with some words and pictures on it in a sensible fashion, you use Seamonkey, which has a nice old boring menu bar with a hiercharchical menu that you can understand and figure out what it can do and where the commands you want are. Well, I think I've figured out a title, already in use, no doubt, for what I have to say about Ning on Ning, andthe title of the page or network or group or what have you would be "WhiNing" or "Why-Ning" or some such play on whining and ning. Now maybe my ning page will stop nagging me to put something in the blog. So there, take that, ning blog nag.
